Friday

Andy's signed up for the lottery and the Performance Program, but only one pays off.

Well, I got my own back on Andy for his bad impersonations of me. He'd got a lottery ticket on his desk that he hadn't checked, so I swapped it for one with Wednesday's winning numbers. Obviously, the one I bought was for tomorrow. But that hadn't registered with Andy. The look on his face when he checked the numbers online was priceless. But not as priceless as when I came clean.

But, onto more serious matters. A recent report suggests that staff motivation is low. We could be losing good people to our competition. Obviously, we'd like to attract the 'best of breed' to our company and invest in our people as they are our most valuable resource. How can we move away from a 'them and us' culture towards one of partnership?

Good news. Just spoke to Eileen from Se7en. The Program is so flexible that we are now extending our Customer and Sales Performance Program out to our internal employees by adding on the Employee module. Now, the Program will motivate our staff too for both performance and achievement. At last, we'll have the platform we need for regular internal communications and knowledge share.
